Book Review: The Queen of Hearts - K. Martin

"If there's anything I've learned it's this: the past is never really gone. It's one long chain linking the present and also the future, and sometimes it doubles back on itself, exposing the things you thought were buried."

I so wanted to read this book that I ordered a copy from the US, and it came signed!
The Queen of hearts is what I expected, a lot of medical related, friendship and love dramas, mixed with the American-dream lifestyle and secrets from the past.
An engrossing read, where it is difficult to put yourself in the characters shoes as quite so different from my life, but probably because of this even more interesting.
I love anything to do with doctors so I really enjoy this novel. I also really liked the main character Zadie and her way to approach life.
This book is very funny in parts, Zadie's voice is hilarious at points, but it is also quite bitter sweet in the dramas that happen to them.
In summary, a very pleasant read, perfect for who loved medical dramas.
