April 2018 Wrap up

April for me this year meant a lot of sun during Easter holidays and a nice warm week also here in England. I read two marvelous novels this month, a very good thriller and some other pleasant books.

(click on the titles for the full mini review).

Loved it! NY, big family saga, great setting and characters. A must read!

Trama interessante, ma stile narrativo troppo ridondante.
Rating:  5 out of 10

Una storia bella e triste, paesaggi fantastici, davvero consigliato!
Rating:  9 out of 10

Un bel thriller italiano, con un bel ritmo incalzante.
Rating:  8 out of 10

All'ombra di Julius - E. J . Howard
Controcorrente, a me non e' piaciuto, lento e noioso.
Rating:  5 out of 10

Unusual great character, love letter to NY city, very refreshing.
Rating:  6 out of 10

Memoirs of near death experiences. She can write very well as usual.
Rating:  6,5 out of 10

Mio caro serial killer - A. Gimenez-Bartlett
Pedra e' sempre una poliziotta tosta, un bel giallo, un po' tirato in parti.
Rating:  6,5 out of 10

Three things about Elsie - J. Cannon
One thing about me: I really do not like novels about elderly...
Rating:  abandoned

Una storia di dolore e rinascita, duro, asciutto, forse troppo.
Rating:  6,5 out of 10

Little fires everywhere - C. Ng
Very strong themes, an interesting read, it makes you think a lot.
Rating: 7 out of 10

Stay with me - A. Adebayo
Such a moving story about motherhood and culture. Sad and beautiful.
Rating: 7 out of 10
